Labor Day Weekend

Hey my friends!
I hope you all had a marvelous 3 day weekend! I know I had a great time as I was finally feeling better.
This weekend, the hubs and I celebrated with some of our dearest friends as they got married! The wedding was beautiful in every way and we couldn't be happier for them.
I have a confession to make. I love the Indian culture. Almost to the point of obsession. I love the music*, the movies*, the food, and especially the clothes. So I was thrilled to get dressed in this elegant chaniya choli for the festivities. Oh, I have never felt more like a princess. To be honest, at first I was worried (since I am obviously not Indian) that I would look ridiculous. But our friend's family is so kind and gave me many compliments! That gave me the confidence I need to twirl and clap and laugh the night away. It was a one of a kind experience and we were truly thankful to be a part of it. Until next time!

Thank for reading!

*Listening to the Dostana soundtrack as I type!

  1. I have always wanted to go to an Indian wedding because I would love to wear the beautiful clothing! I am so jealous! You really do look gorgeous in this - the color suits you so well!

  2. Well guess what, I love the Indian culture too :D you look gorgeous in your outfit! Indian clothing is fun to wear, though not always the most comfortable. I'm so glad you went for it, and I'm sure the wedding was a PAR-TAY!

I of course had to document on my blog the first time I wore a sari (to an Indian wedding) there are pictures here: http://perfectlypriya.blogspot.com/2014/07/what-to-wear-to-wedding.html
