Here, There, Everywhere

Hey my friends!
I don't know if you know this about me or not but I love to travel. Seriously. On my way home from a getaway, I'm planning the next one. Thankfully, I have lots of fun trips planned for the summer so the wanderlust is somewhat satiated.
I think I'm going to love traveling in this fringe-y cardigan. It's that perfect mix between not too hot and not too cold that keeps one comfortable on a frigid plane or a windy day. I'm sure I could also make it work over a swimsuit!
Have a happy Tuesday and do something that makes you smile.

Two Prints, One Top

Hey my friends!
I hope you are having a marvelous Monday and had a wonderful weekend! The hubs and I spent some time with some dear friends we haven't seen in forever. It says a lot about a friendship when you can pick up where you left off like no time ever passed. Friendships like that are so precious!
I love this top. Nothing beats a shirt that mixes prints for you. Ultimate lazy girl fashion.
Do y'all have any pieces that stand alone like this one? Perfect for those days when you don't feel particularly creative.

Pinspiration part 2: Rouge

Hey my friends!
Happy Wednesday! I hope you all are keeping warm and cozy throughout the week. Today's inspiration creation features one of my favorites in my wardrobe right now. I can't wait for summer so I can wear this skirt more.

Pinspiration Part 1: Noir

Hey my friends!
I decided to take this week to try to recreate some of my favorite looks from Pinterest. I love that site. It's where I go to get outfit ideas on days I'm not feeling very creative. I can spend hours doing "research".
Today's look is quite simple. I feel like Audrey Hepburn! I don't think I would have put this outfit together on my own. I love all black outfits but sometimes it can get to look like you're on your way to a funeral. I usually try to break it up with some color somewhere. Bright shoes or accessories. What do you think? All black everything? Or does it need some color? Let me know!

Valentine's Day

Hey my firends!
Whether you love or hate this holiday, we can all agree that the day after Valentine's Day is pretty awesome. Discount chocolate everywhere!!
The hubs and I like to stay in on Valentine's Day. We find it more romantic to cook a special meal together than try and fight all of Atlanta for a table at a packed out restaurant. This year, since it's on a Saturday we'll probably catch an early movie and then stay in for the rest of the day. Wild and crazy!

I love how feminine this top is. It reminds me of the material and designs of Indian saris. (Which I love, evidenced here)
Paired with this  blazer and heeled boots, this look is great for our special brunch and movie date.

Do you have any special plans this year? Let me know in the comments below!

Weekend Outfit: Polka Dots Part 2

Hey my friends!
I hope you have some fun plans for the weekend. I'm helping some friends paint their new place and I'm pretty excited about it. Nothing like being a part of making a new house a home.
The featured outfit today is one of my new favorites. I found the dress during my recent trip to Goodwill (haul post coming soon I promise). Isn't it cute? Topped with a cardi vest makes it a perfect outfit for a day gallivanting the streets of Savannah.
Note on the theme this week. I wasn't trying for a theme at all (other than weekend in Savannah but that couldn't be helped) I didn't realize how polka dotty my weekend would be until I was unpacking at the hotel. It's like my themed blog posts were writing themselves. Or......we could just say that I am a subconsciously creative genius. Whatever it is, it worked out well.

Weekend Outfit: Polka Dots part1

Hey my friends!
Hope you are doing well. Today I bring you the perfect "I want to look cute but also have a stretchy waistband" dress with polka dots. I wore it for our anniversary lunch (paired with my new favorite shoes) and was so comfy the whole time! You all know that's my motto. Comfy, Cute, and Cheap Thrifty. That's me!

Black and Blue

Hey my friends!
I love the way this look came out. Super breezy and comfy for running errands and working from home. Another outfit that kinda created itself. If you know me, you realize how happy that makes me!
Another thing that makes me happy is this new spot to take pics! Any bloggers out there know how terrifying it is taking pictures in public places. I don't know what it is that has me running away like a little kid who got caught when someone rounds the corner and there I am posing as if I'm some kinda dwarf model (only 5' 4"). Awkward!! So I am very thankful for this cute, private space behind our new home that lends itself so well to blogger posing. Maybe one day I'll be brave.

Effortless Summer

Hey my friends!
I hope you all are doing quite well. I thought I would share one of the spectacular outfits I put together recently. It sort of came together one day, you know when you step in your closet and you think "What can I create today?". Then you put on a piece and the outfit starts to put itself together? That's what happened! Is this finally me getting the hang of dressing effortlessly???? Let me slow down. I still have a long way to go. But I think this is a good start. The statement necklace and cardigan (hello friend) go together well. I've been trying different color combinations and I think blue and yellow gives a fresh summery feel. What about you? Any cool color combinations you've been discovering lately?

World Cup Madness

Hey my friends!
I hope this post finds you well! It will be another one of my short and sweet posts as I am currently watching the USA vs. Ghana game. I love the World Cup; I think it might be better than the Olympics because it's not as hard to keep up with. This weekend my hubs and I caught some of the games while enjoying the sunshine and the company of friends. I'll post more about my weekend later this week. USA! USA! USA!

Comfy Cozy

Rouge necklace! Where are you going??

Hey my friends!
I hope you had a lovely weekend! I feel like mine was super productive. I cooked, cleaned, bought groceries, and hung out with friends. It was the kind where I thought to myself "I'm becoming a responsible adult". This is unlike other weekends where I geek out about Harry Potter or something like that. Then I think, "Who am I kidding? I'm a kid forever!"
This is what I wore yesterday to go to church and grocery shopping. It is soo comfy. Can Palazzo pants be a thing for a while because I love wearing pajamas. And that's basically what they are. Snaz 'em up with a cute top and flats and you are good to go for the rest of the day. #winning
What's your favorite comfort item?  Is it unashamedly comfortable or just easy to wear?
